leave fear..

There's an interesting parallels between Moses and the Israelites when faced with their fears/destiny. It's almost like they (Moses and the Israelites) mirror each other; same exact struggle, going through it together. Moses was chosen to lead the Israelites because he was exactly like them; struggling with similar issues..

Here's two sets of examples. The first 5 examples are Moses rejecting God and the second 5 are the Israelites rejecting Moses both byproducts of fear:

(Moses rejecting God's vision for him and Israelites )

1)Then Moses said to God: Who am I to go to Pharaoh, and take the children of Israel out of Egypt? (3:11)

2)Moses said to God: When I actually come to the children of Israel and say to them and they say to me, What is his name?what shall I say to them? (3:13)

3)Moses answered and said: But they will never believe me or listen to me, for they will say: The Lord has not appeared to thee. (4:1)

4)Then Moses said to the Lord I have never been a man of words, neither Yesterday, nor even the day before, nor even since Thou hast spoken to Thy servant; for I am slow of speech and tongue.(4:10)

5)Finally he said: Send I pray Thee by the hand of whom Thou wilt send. (5:13)

(the #Israelites rejecting #Moses while running from the Egyptians/fears)(#Exodus 14:29)

1)And the people of #Israel cried out to the #Lord.

2)They said to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness?"

3)"What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt?"

4)Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the #Egyptians’?

5)"For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”

Leaving #Egypt is leaving the illusion of being alone. the illusion of pain. the illusion of helplessness. holding on to courage. holding on to unity. holding on to God.
