Trivia question:
what day of the week were the first set of tablets given to Moses?
The Mishnah taught that the stone tablets on which God wrote the 10 Commandments, to which Exodus 32:15–16 refers, were created on the eve of the first Sabbath at twilight.

Kanye West Israelites jewelry
#KanyeWest had a multi platinum selling single called "gold digger" depicting women wanting men for the wrong reasons. The Torah gives an example of #Israelites women using jewelry to lift up mankind:
A #Midrash noted that in the incident of the Golden Calf, in Exodus 32:2, Aaron told them, "Break off the golden rings that are in the ears of your wives," but the women refused to participate, as #Exodus 32:3 indicates when it says, "And all the people broke off the golden rings that were in their ears."

what is a blessing?
How can you see a blessing?:
The Rabbis taught in a Baraita that upon entering a barn to measure the new grain one should recite the blessing, "May it be Your will O Lord, our God, that You may send blessing upon the work of our hands." Once one has begun to measure, one should say, "Blessed be the One who sends blessing into this heap." If, however, one first measured the grain and then recited the blessing, then prayer is in vain, because blessing is not to be found in anything that has been already weighed or measured or numbered, but only in a thing hidden from sight.

so scared to blink. a poem by me..
So scared to blink:
" it's like being in an elevator going up at the speed of light. so scared to blink. out of fear I just might. forget this moment. or this moment may forget me. Makes it impossible. to just take a moment.just take me away. Why are you waiting for them to say? If you wanted to stay you know what songs to play . Your love. it's like being in an elevator; going out at the speed of light. so scared to blink. out of fear. I just might. forget this moment or this moment may forget me"

thank me now ~ #Drake:
"Shout out to my city though I hardly be in town
I'm the black sheep but Chris Farley wears the crown
And I know life is just a game in which the cards are facing down
I'm in a world where things are taken, never given
How long they choose to love you will never be your decision
And I'm aware that this could be the last time you listen
So while I'm still here in this position"
the Israelites n humanity..
If the Israelites were punished for the sin committed in the Garden of Eden by Adam and Chava. does that mean the Israelites are responsible for Humanity? and can be punished by Gd for the sins of humanity?
The torah begins by saying (Gen 1:1)"In the beginning of God's creation" Rashi translate this as meaning; For the sake of the Torah, which is called (Prov. 8:22): “the beginning of His way,” and for the sake of Israel, who are called (Jer. 2:3) “the first of His grain.” Midrash takes it a step further by saying; "that because the serpent was the first to speak slander in Genesis 3:4–5, God punished the Israelites by means of serpents in Numbers 21:6 when they spoke slander. God cursed the serpent, but the Israelites did not learn a lesson from the serpent’s fate, and nonetheless spoke slander. God therefore sent the serpent, who was the first to introduce slander, to punish those who spoke slander".Rabbi Berel Bell says "the most powerful ruler in the world, and the primary opponent to holiness, Pharaoh had the dubious distinction of being the spiritual heir of the Primordial Snake that had caused so much trouble to Adam and Eve. Pharaoh is even referred to as a “snake” in the words of the prophets."
This also makes me think about what was the underlying message of Moses's Staff turning into a serpent & turning back into a staff while confronting the Egyptian Pharaoh?

As you rise to higher levels in life. You see people from the past and what they've done with their lives. Don't judge them or Gd. Don't Look back; pray for them and keep going higher!

Are you willing to give up what you love for who you love
Or lose your girlfriend to groupie love
Everywhere I go I get a group of hugs
That's what happens when they need connections and you the plug
How many trends you gotta set before you considered great?
How many missed calls before you considered fake?
How many dreams before its considered fate?
I’m eating in a World where I’m considered bait
A workaholic addicted to bills
People addicted to me cuz they addicted to real

Intro ~ Big Sean:
"I say
I'm still dreaming bigger than I'm living
And just sleeping long enough to dream
Spent long enough in the sheets
It's time to turn it to the real thing
And turn these ideas to billions
Business into buildings
No girlfriend, you're looking for some feelings
Find a dentist
Me and my crew been around the world
Shook a million hands
I never made the crowd fans
I made 'em all fam
And came back to the city
That made us all men
Except we kings now
Reflecting, trying to take it all in
I put the city on my back
So that way if I fall
I'm crowd surfing the map
I turn mistakes into lessons
Dead ends to exits
On the journey of my life
So I'm inviting ya'll to get in
Let's go"

leave fear..
There's an interesting parallels between Moses and the Israelites when faced with their fears/destiny. It's almost like they (Moses and the Israelites) mirror each other; same exact struggle, going through it together. Moses was chosen to lead the Israelites because he was exactly like them; struggling with similar issues..
Here's two sets of examples. The first 5 examples are Moses rejecting God and the second 5 are the Israelites rejecting Moses both byproducts of fear:
(Moses rejecting God's vision for him and Israelites )
1)Then Moses said to God: Who am I to go to Pharaoh, and take the children of Israel out of Egypt? (3:11)
2)Moses said to God: When I actually come to the children of Israel and say to them and they say to me, What is his name?what shall I say to them? (3:13)
3)Moses answered and said: But they will never believe me or listen to me, for they will say: The Lord has not appeared to thee. (4:1)
4)Then Moses said to the Lord I have never been a man of words, neither Yesterday, nor even the day before, nor even since Thou hast spoken to Thy servant; for I am slow of speech and tongue.(4:10)
5)Finally he said: Send I pray Thee by the hand of whom Thou wilt send. (5:13)
(the #Israelites rejecting #Moses while running from the Egyptians/fears)(#Exodus 14:29)
1)And the people of #Israel cried out to the #Lord.
2)They said to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness?"
3)"What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt?"
4)Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the #Egyptians’?
5)"For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”
Leaving #Egypt is leaving the illusion of being alone. the illusion of pain. the illusion of helplessness. holding on to courage. holding on to unity. holding on to God.
so special
What have I done to deserve #greatness? What makes me so #Special; I've made so many mistakes in life. Your #Destined for greatness (can't you see?) no need to ask why; just accept it and move forward:
To #Moses's second argument against #God's destiny for him: What have #Israel done to deserve this?.. (comes the deeply significant answer):
"When thou hast brought the people out of #Egypt you shall serve God on this mount (3:12)"
#Rashi comments:
Regarding Moses's question: What has Israel done to deserve being brought out from Egypt?
Rashi says; "Not a #privilege but a responsibility awaited them. Not so much as a reward for past good behavior but as a prelude to their #future destiny. This release from #slavery, this bringing forth was #inspired by a purpose and goal rather than a #motivating cause."

follow your heart?
Some say; "follow your heart" sum say; "follow your intellect". I understand how the intellect works, it functions off of learned behavior and current information.. but I couldn't figure out the heart (how does the heart function?) until I read this :
In Genesis 18:5, the heart is refreshed. A Midrash catalogued the wide range of additional capabilities of the heart reported in the Torah.[105] The heart speaks,[106]sees,[107] hears,[108] walks,[109] falls,[110] stands,[111] rejoices,[112] cries,[113] is comforted,[114] is troubled,[115] becomes hardened,[116] grows faint,[117] grieves,[118]fears,[119] can be broken,[120] becomes proud,[121] rebels,[122] invents,[123] cavils,[124]overflows,[125] devises,[126] desires,[127] goes astray,[128] lusts,[129] can be stolen,[130] is humbled,[131] is enticed,[132] errs,[133] trembles,[134] is awakened,[135] loves,[136] hates,[137]envies,[138] is searched,[139] is rent,[140] meditates,[141] is like a fire,[142] is like a stone,[143]turns in repentance,[144] becomes hot,[145] dies,[146] melts,[147] takes in words,[148] is susceptible to fear,[149] gives thanks,[150] covets,[151] becomes hard,[152] makes merry,[153]acts deceitfully,[154] speaks from out of itself,[155] loves bribes,[156] writes words,[157]plans,[158] receives commandments,[159] acts with pride,[160] makes arrangements,[161] and aggrandizes itself.[162]

Rabbi Meir taught that when the #Israelites stood by the red sea, the tribes competed with each other over who would go into the sea first. What are you scared of; it's your time! Don't judge yourself the #Israelites were scared when it was their time as well and they overcame it:
(Exodus 14:29)
"When Pharaoh drew near. The people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel cried out to the Lord. 11 They said to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? It is the part of a wise man, I say, to refresh and restore himself in moderation with pleasant food and drink, with scents, with the beauty of green plants, with decoration, music, sports, the theater, and other things of this kind, which anyone can use without injury to another.”

why give to the homeless?
Where did the idea of giving clothes to the homeless, feeding those without food & comforting ppl whom are sick, come from?
Rabbi Hama son of Rabbi Hanina asked what Deuteronomy 13:5 means in the text, “You shall walk after the Lord your God.” How can a human being walk after God, when Deuteronomy 4:24 says, “[T]he Lord your God is a devouring fire”? Rabbi Hama son of Rabbi Hanina explained that the command to walk after God means to walk after the attributes of God. As God clothes the naked — for Genesis 3:21 says, “And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife coats of skin, and clothed them” — so should we also clothe the naked. God visited the sick for Genesis 18:1 says, “And the Lord appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre” (after Abraham was circumcised in Genesis 17:26) — so should we also visit the sick. God comforted mourners — for Genesis 25:11 says, “And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed Isaac his son” — so should we also comfort mourners. God buried the dead — for Deuteronomy 34:6 says, “And He buried him in the valley” — so should we also bury the dead.[95] Similarly, the Sifre on Deuteronomy 11:22taught that to walk in God’s ways means to be (in the words of Exodus 34:6) “merciful and gracious.”

“Those who wish to seek out the cause of miracles, and to understand the things of nature as philosophers, and not to stare at them in astonishment like fools, are soon considered heretical and impious, and proclaimed as such by those whom the mob adores as the interpreters of nature and the gods. For these men know that, once ignorance is put aside, that wonderment would be taken away, which is the only means by which their authority is preserved.”

miracles
The Talmud (Ta'anit 25a) quotes R. Chanina ben Dosa as saying: "He Who told oil to burn will tell vinegar to burn." Why did R. Chanina find it necessary to mention the flammable quality of oil? He could have simply said that G-d can order vinegar to burn!
This teaches us that man merits a miracle that transcends natural order only when he realizes that nature itself functions only because G-d so declared.
Just as G-d declared oil to be flammable and it is His declaration that gives oil that property, so too can His declaration give vinegar the capability of burning.
The Zohar quotes R. Shimon as teaching: When Israel stood by the banks of the sea and sang, G-d and His Heavenly consorts appeared to her and she recognized that it was her King Who had performed all of these miracles.

"Maybe you died 'cause everybody ask me where you at
I try to #channel you in hopes that I could steer you back
But it's like every intersection we just missed each other
You got your fans waiting tell me you ain't 6 feet under
And tell me that you're coming back and you just took a break
Maybe I blamed you for everything that was my mistake
In hindsight I loved your rawness and I loved your edge
'Cause it was you who talked me down from jumping off the ledge
Your earrings #bamboo, your long nails too
Your #BMW every time you came through
You was the brave heart
You stole Wayne heart
You never switched it up
You played the same part
But I needed to grow
And I needed to know
Were there some things inside of me that I needed to show!"

Your #BMW every time you came through
You was the brave heart
You stole Wayne heart
You never switched it up
You played the same part
But I needed to grow
And I needed to know
Were there some things inside of me that I needed to show!"

complaining about greatness
Listen to how you fight against your destiny; anytime something doesn't go the way you planned it. Listen to yourself every time you take a risk and it doesn't work out. Just listen to yourself:
"Are there not enough graves in Egypt that you have brought us here to die in the desert? How could you do this to us, bringing us out of Egypt? Did we not tell you in Egypt to leave us alone and let us work for the Egyptians? For it would have been better to be slaves in Egypt than to die in the desert" #Exodus

Elijah the prophet
Elijah the Prophet said: "I make the heavens and earth my witnesses that everyone, Israelite or Gentile, man or woman, slave or maid-servant – each according to his or her deeds , so holy spirit rests upon them" (Tanna devey Eliyahu ch. 9).

together
Take the Misheberach prayer, for example. Individuals rise and share the names of loved ones for whom they pray for healing, and then, in some congregations, everyone rises and stands as a community. Together, we pray for the healing of all our loved ones.
world power Cain and Abel?
Is the story of Cain and Abel really about two people wanting control over the earth; one taking it too far? Who would control planet Earth's resources? One could argue the battle over Earth's territories and resources still exist till this day:
"In a Midrash (Genesis Rabbah 22: 7)the brothers (Cain and Abel)divided the world between them, one taking all the land, the other all the movables. The one who took the land ordered the other to get off his land and fly in the air. The one who took the movables ordered the other to strip naked because the clothes belonged to him."
"Who's going to be the cast of people that shape this next generation?"

her name is Esther and she took my breath away
Queen Esther, splitting of the Red Sea; someone please tell er to come to my Seder second night? Can't split my personal "red Sea" without Esther, according to Kabbalah:
And thus I [Esther] will approach the king." (Esther 4:16)
Rabbi Yosef Gackon writes, concerning Esther’s three-day fast, that Esther [in fasting for exactly three days] had the following kabbalistic intention. Namely, that three days and nights contain seventy-two hours, and "B’chen" ["thus", in 4:16]equals seventy-two numerically [in letter-gematria], corresponding to the [exalted 72-letter] Name of G-d hinted in the three verses [that begin], "Vayisa", "Vayavo", "Vayet" [Exodus 14:19, 20, 21, each of which contain seventy-two letters precisely]. It was with the power of this Name that G-d split the [Red] sea and had the Israelites cross over, and He guided them in His protection and they had no fear.
From that Name, [the flow of] the Divine life-force comes to Esther's supernal [corresponding] ; for Esther [as our Sages say] was greenish in complexion [green is a color associated with the sefira Chesed, Divine kindness, as the life-flow descends through the upper worlds]. Esther, with the power of these seventy-two hours, approached[G-d], King of the world, in her prayers; for she was sure of His help. Then, in this [lowly physical]world, she approached King Ahasuerus.

do you believe in karma?
Do you believe in #karma?
The concept of karma as it relates to "one God" comes from Torah not #Hinduism or #Buddhism.#seriously!
Karma is just another way of saying your thoughts and actions create reality. Actions create reality. you do good you get good. you do bad you get bad. You lift up others God lifts you up!
Okay, what does #Buddhist consider karma?
"Hinduism, Buddhism defines karma as actions, seen as bringing upon oneself inevitableresults, good or bad, either in this life or in a reincarnation"
Everybody knows the story of #Qayin & #Hevel in the #Bible?.. in my opinion this is one of the best examples of karma being articulated by Gd in Torah.
Setting: In a conversation with God Cain instinctively feels negative repercussions coming because he just murdered his brother Able. Standing in front of God Cain pleads for his life, the almighty replies to him by saying:
Bereishit 4:15) And the Lord said to him, "Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be wrought upon him sevenfold,".
Rashi says; "vengeance will be wrought upon him sevenfold" meaning, I do not wish to wreak vengeance upon Cain now. At the end of seven generations, I will wreak My vengeance upon him, for Lemech, one of his grandchildren, will rise up and slay him.
I wonder if God gave Cain a seven years grace period as an opportunity to repent (asking God for forgiveness)changing himself, grow as an individual? According to rashi this is how Cain was killed by his great-grandson. Karma is cray:
Rashi says; "Lamech first loses his sight from age, and had to be led by Cain, the seventh generation from Cain. Lemech saw in the distance something that he first took for an animal, but it was actually Cain whom Lamech had accidentally killed with an arrow. When they discovered who it was, Lamech, in sorrow, clapped his hands together, which (for an unclear reason) kills Cain. In consequence, Lamech's wives desert him.
"do good get good, do bad things get bad things; ask for forgiveness, change your actions.. thus changing your karma"
justin bieber love talk
What #JustinBieber said in "Right Here":
"Baby, I'm here, I'm here to stay
I ain't going nowhere
I know you're scared cause you've been hurt
Baby, it's alright
Lost in your eyes every time that you look in mine
I promise to be all that you need
I won't leave you, baby
No, cause I just wanna love you
I would never ever put nobody up above you
I just wanna kiss you baby, I just wanna hug you till the end, baby till the end"

does this mean I'm in love?
#Drake #mine:
"From 8 until late, I think ‘bout you
You own my nights I don’t know what to do
I can't get no rest, can't get no sleep
This whole thing got way too deep and we should
Stop making a big deal out of the little things
Cause I got big deals and I got little things
Got everything I'm asking for but you
Stop making a big deal out of the little things, let's get carried away
Come right now, you know where I stay..."
Soulja Boy what happened to you?
I'm so confused by #Soulja boy's verses on his song with #Drake "we made it". Part of me feels like Soulja Boy forgot how too rap; Ever since #KatStacks it's been downhill . Soulja Boy forgot we loved him because he was inspirational giving everyone hope & imagination ; now he just looks greedy without new ideas. I think Soulja Boy is scared to be vulnerable on the mic; he bought into his image more than the fans did. Will Soulja Boy ever inspire us again? #Bigsean is a great example of inspirational rap but he learned from the best, #KanyeWest..
had a date last night with the girl I'm going to marry
The reason for getting married? Because you can't do it on your own. The reason for having kids? Because you can't do it on your own. The reason for having a community? Because you can't do it on your own.
Do what on your own? Make your dreams come true!
Huh?
Why do I need to get married, have kids or community in order for Gd to answer my prayers (making my dreams come true)? Don't listen to my opinion, look at Moses's example in the Torah:
We learn in Midrash Rabbah that Moses prayed 515 times - based on the gematriya of vaetchanan, which means "I pleaded" - for God to let him enter Israel. Each time, God rejected Moses' prayer.
In an essay published some years ago in Tradition, Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik suggests that the problem lay with the people, who did not join Moses in prayer.
"The Midrash states that had the community joined Moses in his prayer, God would have granted Moses his request. He [God] would not have rejected the prayer of the many," writes the rabbi. "Unfortunately, the community did not understand the secret of the prayer by the many. As a consequence of their ignorance, Moses died in the desert."
He teaches a powerful lesson. Our tradition encourages and even demands personal prayer. But communal prayer and the act of praying for each other remain even more powerful.
It's fine to pray for individual needs, hopes and dreams. These prayers, however, only reach the gates of heaven when they're joined with the hopes and dreams of others in the community.

overcoming fear with Jay Z
In Jay Z's song "beach chair" he talks about overcoming fear being the reason for his successful:
Some said HOV, how you get so fly?
I said from not being afraid to fall out the sky!
My physical's a shell
So when I say farewell
My soul will find an even
Higher plane to dwell
So fly you shall
So have no fear, just know that
Life is but a beach chair
(Jay Z "beach chair")

Shabbat vs Coachella?
Random thought part 2:
If #Coachella was sitting at the same table as #Shabbat having a discussion about this weekend. Shabbat would tell Coachella; "in order for us to have a meaningful relationship, you have to improve your timing. Gd throws a party every Friday night lasting until Saturday night ...". Coachella would probably respond by saying; "Shabbat you're so high, so beautiful; there's nothing we could ever offer to take you higher(we only have lame #drugs and #music you can't hear)so there's no point in inviting you".

dear rainbows, why are you so beautiful?
Have you ever wondered why Gd created rainbows? Why are rainbows so beautiful to the eye? Do rainbows take your breath away..? They should according to Torah sages; read below:
"The Mishnah taught that the rainbow (of Genesis 9:13) was one of ten miraculous things that God created on the sixth day of creation at twilight on the eve of the Sabbath.Rabbi Jose and Rabbi Judah disagreed whether verses of remembrance referring to the rainbow (Genesis 9:15–16) needed to be said together or individually.
The Gemara helped explain why (as Genesis 9:13 reports) God chose a rainbow as the symbol of God’s promise. The Mishnah taught with regard to those who take no thought for the honor of their Maker, that it would have been better if they had not been born.Rabbi Abba read this Mishnah to refer to those who stare at a rainbow, while Rav Josephsaid that it refers to those who commit transgressions in secret. The Gemara explained that those who stare at a rainbow affront God’s honor, as Ezekiel 1:28 compares God’s appearance to that of a rainbow: "As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord." Thus those who stare at a rainbow behave as if they were staring directly at God."

1st generation of eating kosher
When did Gd start to differentiate between pure and impure animals; which is the premise of eating #kosher? Arguably during the generation of #Noah, just read below:
Reading in #Genesis 7:2 the command that "of every clean beast you shall take seven, man and wife," the Gemara asked whether beasts have marital relationships. Rabbi Samuel bar Nahman said in Rabbi Jonathan's name that the command means of those animals with which no sin had been committed (that is, animals that had not mated with other species). The #Gemara asked how Noah would know. Rav Hisda taught that Noah led them past the Ark, and those that the Ark accepted had certainly not been the object of sin, while those that the Ark rejected had certainly been the object of sin. And Rabbi #Abbahu taught that Noah took only those animals (fulfilling that condition) that came of their own accord. Similarly, Rav Hisda asked how Noah knew (before the giving of Leviticus 11) which animals were clean and which were unclean. Rav Hisda explained that Noah led them past the Ark, and those that the Ark accepted (in multiples of seven) were certainly clean, and those that the Ark rejected were certainly unclean. Rabbi Abbahu cited Genesis 7:16, "And they that went in, went in male and female," to show that they went in of their own accord (in their respective pairs, seven of the clean and two of the unclean).

Jay z & my day
Sometimes Jay Z just describes my day perfect here's some lyrics from the song "already home":
"I taught 'em 'bout fish scale, they want me to fish for them
They want me to catch clean then cook up a dish for them
All of this just for them or they got a diss for him
They want me to disappear like it's gon shift for them
They say that I'm in the way, they want me to sit for them
But what they admitting is they ain't got aish for him
And really the fact is, we not in the same bracket
Not in the same league, don't shoot at the same baskets
Don't pay the same taxes, hang with the same women
So how am I in the way, what is it I'm missing?
bro I been missing, bro I been gone
The stuff that you just witnessing I been on
And as for the critics, tell'n me I don't get it
Everybody can tell you how to do it, they never did it"

Noah the jeweler
Three simple questions about Noah's Ark: Did #Noah have more jewelry then "2 Chainz" and "Big Sean"? How did Noah tell the difference between day and night during the flood? did Noah's Ark have windows?
#Rabbi Johanan interpreted the words, "A light (צֹהַר, #tzohar) shall you make to the #Ark," in #Genesis 6:16 to teach that Gd instructed #Noah to set there in luminous precious stones and jewels, so that they might give light as bright as noon (צָּהֳרָיִם, #tzaharayim).Similarly, Rav Achava bar Zeira taught that when Noah entered the #Ark, he brought precious stones and jewels with him to keep track of day and night. When the #jewels shone dimly, he knew that it was daytime, and when they shone brightly, he knew that it was night. The #Gemara noted that it was important for Noah to be able to tell day from night, for some animals eat only during the day, and others east only during the night, and thus Noah could determine the proper feeding times for the animals under his care. The Gemara noted that if in Genesis 6:16 Gd told Noah, “A window shall you make to the ark,” then Noah should have been able to tell day from night. The Gemara explained that Noah needed the jewels because the account of Noah bringing jewels into the Ark followed the view that the celestial bodies – including the sun – did not serve during the year of the Flood. (Thus, no sunlight entered the Ark, and Genesis 6:16 must refer to jewels rather than a window)

arrogance destroys Talent
One of the biggest recurring themes in success is losing it. One of the biggest recurring themes of becoming rich is going broke. One of the biggest recurring themes in reaching great heights is falling off. Why do people fall off? What's the process of losing success; so I can avoid it? Why would Gd give great blessings and then take them away?
What's the process of falling off?
the sages say the "generation of Noah" was given some of the greatest gifts/talents(from God)in human existence. At the same time the entire generation was destroyed by Gd through a great flood. Why did Gd give great blessings then bring destruction? Read below:
The Tosefta taught that the generation of the Flood acted arrogantly before God on account of the good that God lavished on them. So (in the words of Job 21:14–15) “they said to God: ‘Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of Your ways. What is the Almighty, that we should serve Him? And what profit should we have, if we pray unto Him?’” They scoffed that they needed God for only a few drops of rain, and they deluded themselves that they had rivers and wells that were more than enough for them, and asGenesis 2:6 reports, “there rose up a mist from the earth.” God noted that they took excess pride based upon the goodness that God lavished on them, so God replied that with that same goodness God would punish them. And thus Genesis 6:17 reports, “And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth.”[77] Similarly, the Rabbis taught in aBaraita that the good that God lavished upon the generation of the Flood led them to become arrogant
"Appreciation is only way to defeat arrogance as you rise to the top. Everything comes from Gd; as soon as you forget prepare 4 massive destruction in life. The Torah is giving us a blueprint of how not to fall off."
(may we all continue to rise)

Satan is against dreams
What's the force/#adversary that makes people give up on their #dreams? An energy influence making people feel weak, unsure, diminished like Superman being exposed to kryptonite.
What's kryptonite?
#Kryptonite is a material from the #Superman mythos—the ore form of a radioactive element from Superman's home planet of #Krypton. Within the mythos, it is the ultimate natural weakness of Superman and most otherKryptonians. In popular culture the word Kryptonite has since become synonymous with an #Achilles' heel—the one weakness of an otherwise invulnerable hero.
Ironically kryptonite came from Superman home, meaning the substance itself originated where he was born. What's our kryptonite? What's the force/Egypt/adversary that destroys dreams and hopes?
#Maimonides read #Genesis 8:21 to refer to the evil inclination (yetzer ha-ra). Maimonides taught that the three terms — the adversary (הַשָּׂטָן, ha-satan), and the angel of death — all designate the same thing. And actions ascribed to these three are in reality the actions of one and the same agent. Maimonides taught that the Hebrew term שָּׂטָן, satan was derived from the same root as the word שְׂטֵה, seteh, “turn away,” as in Proverbs 4:15, and thus implies the notion of turning and moving away from a thing. Thus, the adversary turns people away from the way of truth, and leads them astray in the way of error. Maimonides taught that the same idea is contained in Genesis 8:21, “And the imagination of the heart of man is evil from his youth.” Maimonides reported that the Sages also said that people receive the evil inclination at birth, forGenesis 4:7 says, “at the door sin crouches,” and Genesis 8:21 says, “And the imagination of the heart of man is evil from his youth.” The good inclination, however, is developed. Maimonides taught that the Sages refer to the evil inclination and the good inclination when they tell that every person is accompanied by two angels, one on the right side and one on the left, one good and one bad.
So it's the "evil inclination" that's makes dreamers turn away from Gd's destiny for them... giving up, quitting, turning away . Superman had kryptonite; we have an evil inclination, both challenging us to grow and transform ourselves.
The question is: how do we overcome our "evil inclination"?
Noah has the answers
sometimes we doubt ourselves saying; "Who am I to think I can change the world? (Thinking about all of the great people before you and how you're nowhere close to them). Why would Gd gave me these ambitions; when I've made so many mistakes in life. The people before me were almost perfect I'm nowhere close" .
Where can I go to draw strength, awareness, inspiration convincing me ; "even though I'm not perfect in comparison to others; I'm perfect for my generation?"(At the right time at the right place in history to make history)
The story of Noah in the Torah is a blueprint to never question your significance in impacting the whole world. Also to never compare yourself to anyone else because you were created perfect for Gd's plan:
Interpreting the words, "Noah was a just man, and perfect in his generations," (Genesis 6:9)
Rabbi Johanan taught that Noah was considered righteous in his generations, but would not have been considered righteous in other generations.
Similarly, Rabbi Judah interpreting the words, "Noah was a just man, and perfect in his generations," in Genesis 6:9. Rabbi Judah taught that only "in his generations" was he a righteous man (by comparison). Had he lived in the generation of Moses or Samuel, he would not have been called righteous.
Rabbi Judah said that in the street of the totally blind, the one-eyed man is called clear-sighted, and the infant is called a scholar.
Rabbi Judah compared it to a man with a wine vault who opened one barrel and found it vinegar, opened another and found it vinegar, and opened a third to find it turning sour. When people told him that it was turning, he asked if the vault contained any better. Similarly, "in his generations" Noah was a righteous man.
"Never doubt yourself it's your time. absolutely belief in Gd is the only way to reach your destination" (Strength from Gd; inspiration from Noah!)
days in the east
#Drake (days in the east)says; "Got too much pride for my own good right now
Waitin' on you to give in and hit me up
So I could fall through like old times and hit it up"
Waitin' on you to give in and hit me up
So I could fall through like old times and hit it up"
in love with Shakespeare
This Shakespeare always reminds me of springtime:
This bud of love, by summer's ripening breath,
May prove a beauteous flower when next we meet.
(Romeo and Juliet,2.2)
last night...
Crazy thing about those flashing lights, they all start smiling @ you but the only thing they're thinking about is cheese. I wonder sometimes ? am i depriving myself of my best friends fantasies? for holiness undetectable to my eyes... You don't know what it's like, to be ahh dream guy in a room full of dreamers looking almost perfect. Man I hate going to these parties for this reason; got me thinking of things that I shouldn't . I say no because I believe in my soulmate, even though I've never met her... (she's all that matters!)
If Gd makes me rich before I'm married. I can't be held responsible for my actions. There's not enough security in the world to hold them back...

Was #Drake's serious about his #JenniferLawrence shotout in "draft day"? I mean she seems kinda of boring in comparison to #Rihanna?lol And why give "#chancetherapper" free publicity; then contradict yourself by saying you don't even know him? (I know Drake meant not personally; but still...)

"Man that boy growin' up quick, that boy know he the aish
That boy singin' on every song when he know he can spit
That boy manifested it, that boy knew it was written
That boy did it on purpose
That boy know that they shittin' on you, and they can't get past you
You should've followed all my moves, you won't realize 'til after"

salt water n the Seder
Do you see the challenges you've experienced as conduits for a better life? Meaning.. when things didn't go your way; can you see how the disappointment always led to something better? Or do you see life as a series of bad situations that just keep getting worse (randomness)?
According to Rabbi Eliyahu Yaakov the "salt water" used at the Seder table.. is a tool to transform negative perceptions of life experiences; 2 positive ones by seeing the "big picture". just read below:
Salt is unique in that it is bitter on its own, yet sweetens and brings out the taste of that which it is added to. For this reason, salt is the staple of suffering.
There are two perspectives of suffering – Purposeless Suffering and Purposeful Suffering.
Purposeless Suffering is suffering without reason, value, or an end-goal, and is therefore completely bitter. It is based on a keyhole view of life: “What is right in front of my eyes is all there is and there is no grander scheme.”
We squint in order to focus on something in the distance. The Kabbalists explain that for this reason, the reaction of a person in pain is to close his eyes, since physical eyes don't see the spiritual purpose. Just as a person squints, which is a partial closing of one's eyes in order to focus on something in the physical distance, one may close his eyes completely in order to focus on something in the "spiritual distance.”
Purposeful Suffering is sweetened by understanding the greater context – that all is from God and for the best.
At the Seder, we dip the Karpas into saltwater in order to embody the concept of Purposeful Suffering – that we view any suffering in life as a surgery for our ultimate betterment rather than meaningless torture. (Additionally, we dip Karpas into salt water to represent the tears cried by the Jewish people while enslaved under Egyptian rule.)
We see these two sides of salt expressed by the Dead Sea. Due to its high salt concentration, the Dead Sea contains no life within it, yet has an incredible capacity to heal. On its own, the Dead Sea is "bitter," but when a person dips into the Dead Sea, he is "sweetened."

tha letter BET is 1st!
Should I contemplate what happened before creation?
Rabbi Jonah taught in the name of Rabbi Levi that the world was created with a letter bet(the first letter in Genesis 1:1, which begins בְּרֵאשִׁית, בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים, bereishit bara Elohim, “In the beginning God created”), because just as the letter bet is closed at the sides but open in front, so one is not permitted to investigate what is above and what is below, what is before and what is behind. Similarly, Bar Kappara reinterpreted the words of #Deuteronomy 4:32 to say, “ask not of the days past, which were before you, since the day that God created man upon the earth,” teaching that one may speculate from the day that days were created, but one should not speculate on what was before that.

hermaphrodites?
Do you know what a hermaphrodite is? Arguably hermaphrodites should remind you that "the world was created in 7 days/7stages" . this is why?:
Midrash recounts that Rabbi Jeremiah ben Leazar taught that when God created Adam, God created him a hermaphrodite — two bodies, male and female, joined together — for Genesis 5:2 says, “male and female created He them . . . and called their name Adam.” Rabbi Samuel bar Nahman taught that when God created Adam, God created Adam double-faced, then God split Adam and made Adam of two backs, one back on this side and one back on the other side. An objection was raised that Genesis 2:21 says, “And He took one of his ribs” (implying that God created Eve separately from Adam). Rabbi Samuel bar Nahman replied that the word read as “rib” — מִצַּלְעֹתָיו, mi-zalotav — actually means one of Adam’s sides, just as one reads in Exodus 26:20, “And for the second side (צֶלַע, zela) of the tabernacle.”
