I was just listening to Drake's and Lil Wayne's new song "believe me". On the hook #Drake says something very important:
" Believe me, believe me
I'm that n...., boy they love me in the streets
I'm not tryna find nobody else to beat
I'm the one they come to see because they all
Believe me".
These are important words for anyone looking to be creative, building a organic fan base. Drake is saying in his song "believe me".... You have to be real, You have to show the ppl who You really are, You can't be plastic. Selfless Honesty is what connects this new generation to art. Back in the day, a so called artists could fake it or steal someone else's image. Thanks to profit driven record labels and movie studios many posers, imitators of genius became famous in the past. Now through social media, the consumer sees your whole life everyday. "You ain't about that life"; is a common phrase said by today's consumer emphasizing the importance of honesty/transparency .
