falling in the right places

"If you fall in love with the past; you'll be full of anger and regret. if you fall in love with the future; you'll be full of fear & anxiety. If you fall in love with the present; you'll see the gift of life. Sometimes you fall and never get up; watch were you fall. You can't change the past; you didn't know any better. You can't predict the future; only God knows your destiny. Whatever you have in life at this moment; use the power of your mind to only focus on the positives. For negatives are bad photos; getting tossed out!"

ballerinas know all the right steps..

"I love watching ballerinas perform, every step, every move they take has so much meaning; a combination of strength and elegance. In life, we take new steps/risks everyday; may we understand the significance of our actions. Pursuing beauty in every stage/step of our life, the same way a ballerina does while performing on stage. Life is but a stage..."

second set of tablets represents never giving up hope..

Moses and the Israelites receive the Torah (a complete understanding of reality) on Mount Sinai. soon after, the Israelites made a mistake and spiritually fell to the lowest of Levels. After spiritually falling (giving up all hope) the Israelites were given another chance but this time (Exodus 34:1) Gd said to Moses; "Carve yourself two tablets of stone". Teaching all of humanity that Gd blesses us with knowledge, wisdom, vision etc... but it's our responsibility to "carve out through action" the reality we want to experience in life.

Are shooting stars looking for love to? the poem

"Are shooting stars looking for love to?
Ignoring the skies turning them all blue,
Would you.. risk everything, for a dream that may not come true? So into you, never met you.. Oh well, maybe never will but still, I dreamed it, so it must be true; a mystery with no clues? So close to everything I've ever wanted, so far away from everything I once knew . Everyday is something new, ignoring the hellos and goodbyes from skies, turning them all blue. If you haven't guessed it; I'm the shooting star trying to find out, if what they say about love is true?"

dreaming of greatness for the future...

According to the sages dreams/ambitions are only showing us 1% of our destiny. Are your dreams only about you or for future generations? Rav Bar Kappara taught that every dream/ambition has a deeper meaning/a bigger picture ... stating "the latter" in Jacob’s (לעקוב) Dream (Genesis 28:12) symbolize a future stairway leading up to the altar of King Solomon's Temple. Teaching us, to Dream of greatness for our great great great great great great great grandchildren and beyond!

"God level"

Kanye West just released a new song called "God level" it's more of a advertisement for #Adidas then a commercial radio release. #KanyeWest's concept of "God level" reminds me of a #Midrash.... Rabbi Joshua ben Levi Todd taught that when Moses and the #Israelites reached the consciousness(perception of the world) level of Mount Sinai(Exodus 19:20). The Angels in the upper worlds became confused, asking God; "why do you have creatures born of a woman in our company?" God reply saying; "Moses had come to receive the #Torah". After hearing this the angels really started to flip out, saying to God; why are giving to the flesh and blood secret treasure that you've (Gd) had hidden for 974 generations before God created the world? As the angels said in #Psalm 8:8, "What is man, that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You think of him?" After hearing this, God elevated Moses to a level no man has ever reached before or since (Har Sinai).

Moses ask God; "what's inside of the Torah?"

Exodus 20:2, Gd said, "I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the Land of Egypt." So Moses asked the angels whether the angels had gone down to Egypt or were #enslaved to Pharaoh. The Angels replied saying; "no, we've never been to Egypt". #Exodus 20:3 Gd says, “You shall have no other gods,” Moses asked the angels whether they lived among peoples that engage in idol worship? The Angels replied saying; "no, for we haven't any free will ".Exodus 20:7 (20:8) Gd says, “Remember the #Sabbath day, to keep it holy,” Moses asked the angels whether they performed works from which they needed to rest? The Angels responded saying; "no, we've never experience fatigue ". Exodus 20:6 (20:7)Gd says, “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain,” Moses ask the #angels when do you guys make promises or speak against God? The angels said; " no,we can only speak what #Hashem tells us ". Exodus 20:11 (20:12)Gd says, “Honor your father and your mother,” Moses asked the angels whether they had fathers and mothers? They said; "no". Exodus 20:12 (20:13)Gd says, “You shall not murder; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal,” Moses asked the angels whether there was jealousy or Evil Tempter among them? They said; "no, there's no evil amongst us". The #Midrash says after seeing these conclusions the angels understood God's vision and did everything to support Moses and the future generations.. #shavuot

performing forever...

Not giving up, isn't something you do or something you say when times get tough. not giving up, is a way of life! I shall continue to perform on life's stage until God turns off the lights.. #forever

pushing forward no matter what with Moses

Completely #terrified not knowing what to do...#Moses and the #Israelites stand at the cliff of the Red Sea, the #Egyptians chasing behind them. Almost in tears, Moses turns to #God saying; "#Lord of the #Universe, what is there in my power to do?". God replies to Moses and tells him to tell the Israelites to go forward (#Exodus 14:15-16). Teaching us whenever our back is against the wall we should have no fear and push forward!

Adam and humility..

Everybody knows Adam was the first person ever created by God. Everybody knows Adam was given the responsibility of naming all of creation. But who gave Adam his name? God. Why did God give the name Adam to Adam?... like all words in Torah, you can get a hint to the real understanding through its definition in Hebrew. What does Adam mean in Hebrew? Man. The sages say, the name Adam should teach us humility. Why? the Hebrew word for earth is #adama; God formed man from the dust of the earth in Genesis 2:7. Reminding us no matter how high and influential we become in this world(renaming creation). We come from the earth's dirt; and our bodies will return to the earth's dirt when the soul leaves it. Humility is being a man in God's eyes..

haters can't even see me anymore..

Fear no hater as you rise to the top. God has your back, as he says in #Exodus 23:27; "I will make all your #enemies turn their backs to you". #Haters won't even know why they can't see you anymore; it's #God's will! #gone

freedom within Beshalach.

When the #Israelites were freed from #Egypt; what was the #Torah portion? #Beshalach (בְּשַׁלַּח ). what does Beshalach mean in Hebrew? "for when [he] let go". Meaning a person achieves freedom within, when they let go of who they think they are(fears and #phobias). Finding one's true self; Freedom!

fear of nothing like Moses..

Don't believe the hype. Its okay to think for yourself; don't be scared of what people are going to think. In fact, the only way to go to your next level in life is by defending "your personal truth" no matter the repercussions. The Midrash says the Egyptians worship the lamb (as a deity) and God commanded Moses to sacrifice the lamb in front of the Egyptians. Moses was terrified of the idea saying to Gd in Exodus 8:22; “Lo, if we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, will they not stone us?”. Before you go to your next level in life (freedom) you have to confront your greatest fear. God creating this reality (only fear of the Most High) forcin the Israelites(us)to stand up and become greater than the Egyptians(greater than fear). Moses stands up to his greatest fear sacrifices the lamb in front of Gd and the rest is history..

overcoming fear for greatness

#Greatness is a byproduct of overcoming #fears. In the #torah #egypt represents fears and #phobias. the #Pharaoh represents your greatest fear. #Moses represents your inner voice. the #Israelites represents the part of you that has given up/complacent . Moses confronts Pharaoh representing an individual confronting their #greatest fear. By confronting your fears #nature will support you; expressed in the 10 #plagues and the splitting of the Red Sea. On your journey, you won't be alone #God will send you people like #Aaron giving support when you need it . As you go to your next level, you'll have to leave part of yourself behind; this is expressed with only a small percentage of Israelites leaving Egypt. #Exodus is a #blueprint to greatness showing us how to overcome our greatest obstacle in life, fears! Once we overcome fear we're ready to receive God's true #destiny for us our "personal Torah"; this is expressed on Mount #Sinai.

why delete Y?

What makes people pursue experiences/goals beyond comprehension, beyond logic? What makes a person never give up on their dreams? What makes a person risk everything; for the chance of accomplishing their dreams/vision? How does a person move forward, when everything seems to be going nowhere? is it courage? Is it divine inspiration? What inspires a person to leave the past, to become something or someone beyond their imagination.. even risking ones life? Why grow; why not just stay the same? why deal with all the pressure and pain of growth, self realization ? Rabbi Simai explains, despite all of the amazing miracles seen by the Israelites in Egypt only 2 out of every six hundred thousand left during the Exodus. The rest of the Israelites decided to stay in Egypt and die miserable deaths . What did that small group of Israelites see the others didn't? What gave them the strength to leave others behind knowing death was eminent ? Or even in (Genesis 19:26) the story of Lot were God sent angels to help his family, telling them to leave immediately, for Sodom and Gomorrah was going to be destroyed. As Lot's family is fleeting away from danger his wife Edith turns back, forcing Lot to leave her behind. Why did Edith turn back; for destiny was laid out for her? (Y dalit?) I ask God for the courage and strength to never turn back; leaving the past behind forever ...

furthest thing

"Promise to break everybody off before I break down
Everyone just wait now, so much on my plate now
People I believed in they don't even show they face now
What they got to say now? Nothin' they can say now
Nothin' really changed but still they look at me a way now
What more can I say now? What more can I say now?
You might feel like nothin' was the same" ~ #Drake

arrogance will kill you ask Pharaoh..

Arrogance is death to the soul according to the Torah. The sages say letting go of arrogance will bring you back to life or give you an entirely new life. For example: The Pharaoh died because of his arrogance against God stating in 5:2, “Who is the Lord, that I should hearken to His voice?”. Rabbi Nechunia explains Pharaoh had died from Exodus 9:15, in which God told Moses to tell Pharaoh, “For now I had put forth my hand, and smitten you.”. Pharaoh was given a new life after he asked God to forgive him for his arrogance/rebellion against Gd saying in Exodus 15:11; “Who is like You, O Lord, among the mighty?”. There's a life an individual can live, where they make up their own rules of how to live life . There's also a life where an individual humbly accepts God's commandments upon themselves. Justin Bieber says in his song, one life; "only have one life and I only wanna live it with you"....

if you wanna be a star? this blog is for you..

Why does everyone wanna be a star? Cuz they want to shine.

What does shining mean? It means sharing your soul with the world. so, you're saying people wanting to be stars really want to share their soul with the world ? Yes.

How can I be a star? Well there's a lot of opinions, the Torah sages says there's only one way to be a star shining forever .

What does the Torah say?:

The sages say our personal fears and phobias, perceptions of not being good enough, perceptions of others being better. Is what stops us from shining(being a star). In other words "our personal limitations" blocks us from "our personal greatness".

The story of the Exodus is really about leaving fear to achieve your highest of dreams. Really? how does the story of Exodus explain that? To begin with, the word egypt in Hebrew is Mitzrayim literally meaning "Limitations".

The sages in Midrash deduced from the words “these are the names of the sons of Israel” in Exodus 1:1 that Israel(dreamers)are just as important to God as the host in the heavens. Exodus 1:1says “names,” and Psalm 147:4 also says “names” in reference to the stars, when it says of God, “He counts the number of the stars; He gives them all their names.” So when Israel (dreamers) came down to Egypt(letting go of fears and phobias) , God counted their number, too, and because they were likened to stars, God called them all by their names. Hence Exodus 1:1 says, "these are the names." Learn about yourself. Learn about your fears and phobias, do research and learn from others whom have overcome the same issues.

In conclusion:

Let's get this straight. Egypt metaphorically represents mental limitations. The Israelites represent dreamers; they left Egypt and became stars. Get it?

angels are born at night

Angel+night time+childbirth +protection = laylah

The name Lailah is the same as the Hebrew word for "night" laylah לילה. The identification of the word "night" as the name of an angel originates with the interpretation of "Rabbi Yochanan" (possibly Yochanan ben Zakkai c. 30 - 90 AD) who read "At night [Abraham] and his servants deployed against them and defeated them” (JPS Genesis 14.14) as "by [an angel called] night" (Sanhedrin 96a). Lailah chooses a soul from the Garden of Eden and commands it to enter the embryo. Lailah watches over the development in the womb and shows the rewards and punishments available to the individual. Then right before birth, Lailah strikes the newborn above the lip, making it forget what was learned and creating the philtrum. Lailah serves as a guardian angel throughout a person's life and at death, leads the soul into the afterlife.

Y lettuce on Passover?

Rabbi Ahawa the son of Rabbi Ze'ira has an interesting take on why we use lettuce for seder. Rabbi Ahawa explains just as lettuces is sweet at the beginning (the leaf) bitter at the end (the stalk), as so were the Egyptians sweet to the Israelites in the beginning and bitter at the end. For example: Genesis 47:6 reports Pharaoh told Joseph," the land of Egypt is before; you have your father and brother dwell in the best of the land". Then towards the end the Egyptians became bitter towards the Israelites . As Exodus 1:14 says "and they (the Egyptians) made their(Israelites)lives bitter". In "the big picture of life" it was the Egyptian's bitterness (hating) that ultimately push the Israelites towards greatness. Rather it's sweet or bitter the experiences of life are pushing you towards greatness!

10 reasons why you should question everything?

I get the methodology but have you ever wonder where the concept of Talmudical hermeneutics originated in torah? Or the idea of inquiry/critical thinking in general as it relates to torah; where did it originate. Here's 10 examples of people questioning God's decree or their leadership through questioning. Ask questions (think for yourself), don't accept life at face value; is really the sages underlining message:

(1) In Genesis 44:8, Joseph’s brothers told Joseph, “Behold, the money that we found in our sacks’ mouths we brought back to you,” and they thus reasoned, “how then should we steal?”

(2) In Exodus 6:12, Moses told God, “Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened to me,” and reasoned that surely all the more, “How then shall Pharaoh hear me?”

(3) In Deuteronomy 31:27, Moses said to the Israelites, “Behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, you have been rebellious against the Lord,” and reasoned that it would follow, “And how much more after my death?”

(4) In Numbers 12:14, “the Lord said to Moses: ‘If her (Miriam’s) father had but spit in her face,’” surely it would stand to reason, “‘Should she not hide in shame seven days?’”

(5) In Jeremiah 12:5, the prophet asked, “If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you,” is it not logical to conclude, “Then how can you contend with horses?”

(6) In1 Samuel 23:3, David's men said to him, “Behold, we are afraid here in Judah,” and thus surely it stands to reason, “How much more then if we go to Keilah?”

(7) Also in Jeremiah 12:5, the prophet asked, “And if in a land of Peace where you are secure” you are overcome, is it not logical to ask, “How will you do in the thickets of the Jordan?”

(8)Proverbs 11:31 reasoned, “Behold, the righteous shall be requited in the earth,” and does it not follow, “How much more the wicked and the sinner?”

(9) In Esther 9:12, “The king said to Esther the queen: ‘The Jews have slain and destroyed 500 men in Shushan the castle,’” and it thus stands to reason, “‘What then have they done in the rest of the king’s provinces?’”

(10) In Ezekiel 15:5, God came to the prophet saying, “Behold, when it was whole, it was usable for no work,” and thus surely it is logical to argue, “How much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it is singed?”

4 cups of wine and Pesach

Drinking 4 cups of wine on #Pesach is more about manifesting greatness. Being exactly where you're supposed to be in life. Rabbi Samuel ben Nahman taught that the Sages instituted the tradition of drinking four cups of wine at seder in allusion to the four cups mentioned in #Genesis 40:11–13, which says: “Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.’ And Joseph said to him: "within yet three days shall Pharaoh lift up your head, and restore you to your office; and you shall give Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when you were his butler." The #Talmud says, "When wine goes in, the secrets comes out." did you learn something new? ha!

a rarity in this world

When you meet someone that #inspires you... hold on to them tight, keep them close; for they're a #rarity in this world.A #Midrash interpreted #Pharaoh’s exclamation in #Genesis 41:38, “Can we find such a one as this?” to mean that if they went to the end of the world, they would not find another one like #Yoseph. Appreciate relationships...

how I'm supposed to get married. with girls everywhere?

Maybe it's the beard but ever since the beginning of the #Omer girls have literally been following me 2 my car askin fo number etc. Everywhere I go I feel like I'm on a movie set cuz I'm getting so many double takes..lol higher you go spiritually, the light force of your soul becomes blinding; take notes fellas . All dis got me feelin like #Yoseph the righteous...The #Pirke De-#Rabbi #Eliezer taught that when Yoseph rode in his chariot (as described in #Genesis 41:43), the #Egyptian girls climbed up the walls to see him and threw him rings of gold so that he might look at them and they could see the beauty of his figure. Maybe becoming close to God cuz God wants you to, is too high level? So let's bring it down; "girls with #beautiful souls fall in love with guys whom are close to #God; historically speaking" :) let's make history! "Only someone #Superfly, can take you super high; sOo0O why you wastin time with those other guys,Hi?"

protection from God.

Have no fear. give this world everything you have. there's no turning back. focus on improving the world for Humanity. have no fear. live your truth. no one can hurt or stop you Psalm 37:28, which reports that God "forsakes not his saints; they are preserved forever." Thus the Zohar taught that God shields the righteous in this world and in the world to come. Have no fear. this world is just a vehicle, "for the world to come"!

shabbat shalom

Rabbi Levi used #Genesis 37:2, 41:46, and 45:6 to calculate that Yoseph’s dreams that his brothers would bow to him took 22 years to come true, and deduced that a person should thus wait for as much as 22 years for a positive dream’s #fulfillment. Reading Rabbi Levi #commentary, a person could think to themselves that #Dream's take time to manifest. But The Torah is teaching us something much deeper through the story of Yoseph.

Okay, what's being taught?

#God gave Yoseph his visions/Dreamz at the age of 17 leading him on a path of growth/transformation of self. Dreams are not about standing ovations, winning awards or receiving honor. From a torah prospective, Gd gives every human a vision/Dream.. so we may know.. how great we are(through overcoming challenges/struggle); How Great God is!

Arguably #Yoseph transformation process started when his brothers threw them into the pit.Interpreting the detail of the phrase in Genesis 37:23, “they stripped Yoseph of his coat, the coat of many colors that was on him,” a #Midrash taught that Yoseph’s brothers #stripped him of his cloak, his shirt, his tunic, and his breeches. In the beginning reality/life/Gd had to take everything away from Yoseph in order for him to have a vessel too receive the entire #world 22 years later.

Lesson:
"According to Gd your #journey, dreams will force you to change grow into someone unrecognizable to yourself. don't be scared, allow the #transformation to happen; it's your time!"

#Shabbat Shalom

do you limit yourself by believing in astrology?

I'm a Virgo, I'm a Pisces, I'm a Scorpio, I'm a Taurus, I have five moons in Libra, wait, is the mercury in retrograde? ...What's the astrological reading for the day? the week? the month? blah blah blah blah blah.

According to torah sages "astrology has no influence once you become aware of it." for example, becoming aware you're a Virgo and its influences; according to Torah sources at that moment you're no longer influenced by it . Same thing goes for astrology as a whole. Some people like to feel in control. astrological knowledge gives a false sense of intellectual control over one's destiny.

Everybody knows Avraham was very aware of the planets and astrological alignments. The #Gemara utilizes Avraham as an example of the intellectual limitations associated with astrological thinking:

The Gemara expounded on the words, “And He brought him outside,” in Genesis 15:5.The Gemara taught that Avraham had told God that he had employed astrology to see his destiny and had seen that he was not fated to have children. God replied that Avraham should go “outside” of his astrological thinking, for the stars do not determine Israel’s fate.

hope don't give up on yourself..

Here are 30 reasons why you should never give up hope, no matter how tough life becomes. Never give up integrity because of difficulty. God says repeatedly in His Holy Scriptures "no matter what we've done in the past he will forgive us. all we have to do is, ask for forgiveness and change our ways". If you need help, ask God for help, if you don't need help, ask God for more, juss ask:

trying to standout?

Becoming a mainstream star is not an issue the question is; "how do you standout?":

So how many galaxies are there?

According to astronomers, there are probably more than 170 billion galaxies in the observable Universe, stretching out into a region of space 13.8 billion light-years away from us in all directions.

And so, if you multiply the number of stars in our galaxy by the number of galaxies in the Universe, you get approximately 1024 stars. That’s a 1 followed by twenty-four zeros.

That’s a septillion stars.

But there could be more than that.

It’s been calculated that the observable Universe is a bubble of space 47 billion years in all directions.
